Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions should be made via the NHS app or Patient Access – see below. Due to health and safety reasons, prescriptions cannot be taken over the phone. If for any reason you are unable to order online, please contact your nominated pharmacy, who may order on your behalf.

Alternatively you can use our admin form Please note this is open during normal practice hours 08:00 – 18:30 Monday – Friday.

Please allow two working days for prescriptions to be processed by our prescription clerks. Always check with your nominated pharmacy first to see if your prescription is ready.

Please allow an extra 48 hours during busier times such as bank holidays.

Non repeat prescription items

Any items not already on repeat prescription must be authorised by a doctor when requested. It is at the doctors’ discretion if this request is approved.

Nominating a Pharmacy

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy. You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time on the NHS app or by contacting the practice directly.

What to do with old medicines

Take it to the pharmacy you got it from. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
